BSCI is introducing a higher level of use for EIS
W50 SFI 45.2 approved foam in seating and headrest applications.
With the advent of laser scanning and precise machining capabilities
for foam materials, BSCI can now replicate any existing seat insert
and headrest.
Whether a seat insert is already available or if a BSCI technician
needs to produce an insert, we can duplicate the insert by scanning
and machining the part to give an exact replication of your favorite
piece. This eliminates the need for producing an insert
for each individual seat which uses valuable time from shop crew
as well as the driver.
Most importantly you now have an insert produced from the most
track proven impact absorbent foam in motorsports. EIS W50
is recommended by some of the worlds foremost experts on crash
safety in motorsports. EIS W50 is superior over other materials
used in molded seating applications, namely beaded foam, in that
no melting or dripping occurs when exposed to heat or flames.
In comparison to beaded foam which melts at low temperatures, EIS
W50 is very stable from temperatures as low as -100 degrees Fahrenheit
up to +400 degrees Fahrenheit. EIS
W50 is highly resilient foam so there is no need for replacing
the insert after each crash unlike beaded foam.
BSCI will provide the driver or team with a finished part covered
in Carbon-X® cloth to extend the life of the insert. Inserts
are also available with a covering of BSCI's viscoelastic foam
for added comfort and "soft touch" characteristics when
requested.
