BSCI, Inc. continues its advancement in the development of foam
for use in energy management in motorsports. Through extensive
research and development, we have developed foam to meet and exceed
SFI 45.2 specification for materials used in cockpit areas for
driver safety in motorsports. EIS W50 was developed in accordance
with higher standards governing the materials that can be used
for head protection in CART, IRL and other sanctioning bodies. EIS
W50 is widely used in the NASCAR® Nextel Cup Series, Busch Grand
National Series and the Craftsman Truck series for head impact
protection within the seating system as well as molded seating. EIS
W50 will not melt or drip in a fire and is also a self-extinguishing
material.
EIS W50 can be molded by BSCI, Inc. to fit complex shapes and
designs. EIS W50 is also available in block or sheet in several
colors and is easily machined or cut to the desired shape.
EIS W50 is available in standard form or can be engineered to
meet specific criteria per a customers specifications. Indention
load deflection and crush rate can be adjusted to optimally perform
in the manner requested by the customer.

- Material: Open-cell, highly engineered EA urethane foam
- Density: 5 lb. /cubic foot
- Operating temperature: <100 Fahrenheit - >400 Fahrenheit
- SFI 45.2 Approved Impact Foam
EIS W50 is available in the following standard sizes:
- 16 x 36 outside dimensions and can be cut from .125"- 5"
thick
- 20 x 36 outside dimensions and can be cut from .125"- 5"
thick
- 16 x 16 outside dimensions and can be cut from .125"- 4"
